Rev. Samantha Sale Hudson
Bridge Pastor, temporary Head of Staff
Hello friends! I’m so pleased to be your Bridge pastor, as we navigate together this next season at Rivermont Church. Our goal through the end of the year is to build bridges and strengthen our connections in order to be ready for the next steps. Let me introduce myself a bit to you in the hopes that you might feel emboldened to come introduce yourself to me as well.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, a cradle Presbyterian. Following God’s call in my life has taken me to University of North Carolina at Chapel, NC. Then to Guatemala where I served as a Young Adult Volunteer. Then to Seminary in Princeton. Then onto Quito, Ecuador where I taught Greek and Hebrew in Spanish to seminary students. Then to Philadelphia, PA where I pastored a congregation and chaired COM for 6 years, and now here we are in Chattanooga.
I love meeting God in others, particularly those who live life much differently than I do, thereby getting to know God’s amazing, big world. The threads that hold my life together are: swimming, coffee, Tarheel basketball, frisbee, colorful fabrics, live music and prayer. My husband, Andrew, and I have 3 children: Grace (7) and Eleanor (6) and Camellia (3).
