Rob McAlister
Director of High School Youth
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Rob grew up instilled with enthusiasm for adventure, joy, and gratitude. Family romps through the Appalachian mountains, awe-inspiring journeys out west, introductions to collaborative service work on short-term missions, and the safe space of Sunday night youth group to share, process, question, and laugh all colored the pages of his childhood. Rob began to put down roots in Sewanee, TN for his undergraduate years at the University of the South. Studying religion helped refine his worldview; meeting his wife Katherine revealed the beautiful trajectory of the rest of his life. After college Rob filled his summers facilitating adventure-travel experiences for teenagers, while youth ministry and college ministry rounded out the rest of the years. In recognition of the importance of connection and community, along with an ever-expanding understanding of ministry, Rob is currently pursuing a MA in clinical mental health counseling from Richmont Graduate University. Most importantly, Rob and Katherine joyfully spend their days raising their two children, Mac and Ava, with healthy doses of intentionality and spontaneity.
