Peace & Justice
Concerned members formed a group to respond to the death of George Floyd in June 2020. The Peace & Justice group coordinates participation in Chattanooga protests, working with Chattanooga in Action for Love, Equality and Benevolence (CALEB), buying and distributing Black Lives Matter yard signs, and writing local, state, and national representatives.The group sponsors one-time small group book studies, which have included I’m Still Here byAustin Channing Brown, and How to be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi.
Ladies Bible Study
Open to all women of the church and their friends, this group meets each Wednesdays 11-12 a.m. in the Robinson room. The current study is Luke by Dr. David Jeremiah.
Rivermont offers women meaningful ways to live out their faith within a caring community. Membership in RPW is open to all women. Two circles meet the second Monday at 10:30 am each month. The night circle meets the second Thursday at 7 pm each month. Bible Study, fellowship, and encouragement flow at both times.
